About the producer

NecroDeath Studios is a small recording studio run by Mick Kenney, and situated near the centre of Birmingham in the UK. He is willing to work with any bands, from any genre. Although Mick's recording career is still in its early stages, his work has received critical acclaim worldwide.

His first LP (Anaal Nathrakh - The Codex Necro) was awarded 9.5 out of 10 in Terrorizer magazine. In Terrorizer's 2001 Polls, Anaal Nathrakh were voted 'Best Newcomer', with 'The Codex Necro' reaching Number 8 in the Album Of The Year Poll.

His second LP, Mistress' self-titled debut, was awarded the full 5 out of 5 in Kerrang.

Equipment

NecroDeath is equipped with a digital AKIAI DPS 16 track mixer, AKG and Shure mics, compressors, a varied selection of effects units, Laney head, a Marshall cab, a Roland G-800 keyboard, and a drum kit.

The equipment is constantly being updated and improved.

Rates

It costs £100 a day to hire NecroDeath Studios. Material is recorded at the studios, and then later mixed at another location. It is then mastered, and transferred onto CDRs.

NecroDeath is a cheap studio, and so facilities are basic. Clients shouldn't expect luxurious leather sofas or swimming pools. However, the results that can be achieved are highly satisfactory, as Mick's previous customers will testify.
